Biography:

Brittney Blumengold Lopez is a seasoned family law attorney with over 16 years of exclusive experience in the field. She helps clients navigate emotionally complex cases with clarity, compassion and strategic precision. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law, while simultaneously obtaining a Certificate in Criminal Litigation and receiving honors such as the CALI Award in Trial Advocacy Practice, Pro Bono Commendation and placement on the Dean’s List.

Her early legal training included serving as a Certified Legal Intern in the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Division of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Maria Elena Verde. Today, Brittney represents clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, paternity, timesharing, alimony, post-judgment modifications, enforcement of agreements, and prenuptial and postnuptial contracts.

Brittney is deeply committed to delivering strong legal representation while staying grounded in realism. She’s upfront with her clients about what’s possible, what the law allows and what outcomes they can expect. Her approach has made a difference in high-stakes cases—including helping a father wrongly accused of domestic violence win back substantial time with his son, and securing non-modifiable long-term alimony for a wife leaving a 35-year marriage.

In recognition of her excellence in practice, Brittney was named a 2025 Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state who exhibit outstanding professional achievement.
